Chapter 09 · Rooms, phones, hours

Three rooms, one metro.

Tesson Ferry in south county, Hazelwood in the north, O'Fallon to the west. Addresses, hours, the midday close, and the published patient reviews.

Pick the room you can drive to this week. That is the whole strategy. Missouri Injury Clinic runs three rooms across the metro, and a sore back does not want a forty-minute drive across two counties on top of the appointment. The south room on Tesson Ferry is nearest for most of the city. The north room in Hazelwood covers north county. The O'Fallon room covers the St. Charles side. All three are run by Joseph L. Hollingsworth, DC.

The midday close, without spin

Every room closes from noon to 2 each day. It is published, it is consistent, and it changes how you plan the call and the drive. A 9 a.m. call gets handled in the morning block. A 12:15 call rings into a closed room. If you are coming from a job site or a shift, an afternoon appointment after 2 is the realistic one; a late-morning slot means leaving early enough to be seen before the close.

Friday is a short day at Tesson Ferry and Hazelwood, 9 to 12 only. O'Fallon runs Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, with Wednesday and Friday by appointment. If a crash happened on a Friday afternoon, the honest answer is a Monday morning call, and the guide's advice in the meantime is in the week between.

Which room for which reader

South: Tesson Ferry

The south room sits on Tesson Ferry Road in the 63123 zip, Suite 200. It is the near room for south city neighborhoods like Soulard, Carondelet, Dutchtown, and the Hill, and for south county from Affton and Lemay through Concord, Mehlville, and Oakville. Readers coming up from Arnold and Jefferson County usually find it the shorter drive as well. The south side reader's guide walks the approach street by street.

North: Hazelwood

The north room is in the Village Square shopping center in Hazelwood, 63042. It is the near room for Florissant, Ferguson, Bridgeton, Spanish Lake, and the rest of north county, and for readers who work around the airport.

West: O'Fallon

The Lake St. Louis room is on West Terra Lane in O'Fallon, 63366. It covers St. Charles County: O'Fallon, St. Peters, Lake Saint Louis, Wentzville, Dardenne Prairie, and St. Charles itself. Note the different schedule: Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, with Wednesday and Friday by appointment.

What every room does

The clinic publishes three lanes, and every room works them: auto injuries, meaning diagnosis and a treatment plan after a crash; TBI and concussion rehab; and sports injuries. A back that went out on a job is not a published lane by name, so call the room first, describe the job and the injury, and let the front desk say yes or no. The first visit is a real exam with findings and a written plan, described in the first visit.

What the clinic does not do, and what this guide will not imply, is anything beyond chiropractic care. It is not a law office. It does not handle claims. Joseph L. Hollingsworth, DC, is a chiropractor. Ask the clinic directly how a visit is billed and what they accept.

Patient reviews, as published

The only reviews this guide carries are the three the clinic publishes on moinjuryclinic.com, reproduced as written. We do not write reviews and we do not rank providers.

Before you drive

Call first so nobody arrives at a closed door. Say crash if it was a crash. Bring the timeline and the symptom list from the first visit chapter. And if anything on the bright line below is true, skip the drive to a clinic and go to an emergency department.

Bright line

Emergency first. Chest pain, a sudden severe headache, weakness or numbness on one side, trouble speaking, a loss of bowel or bladder control, or a head injury with vomiting or worsening confusion is an emergency room trip right now, not a call to a clinic. Back pain with new numbness in the groin or inner thighs, or a back injury in a fall or crash that leaves you unable to stand, belongs in an emergency department before it belongs in any clinic.
